Bacterial plant diseases are diseases caused by bacterial infestation, such as soft rot, ulcer disease, and green blight. The bacteria that attack plants are rod-shaped, most of which have one to several flagella and can invade through natural orifices (stomata, lenticels, water holes, etc.) and wounds. After the invasion, they usually kill the host cells or tissues first and then draw nutrients from the dead cells or tissues for further expansion. Contact with host cells is usually followed by cell or tissue lethality and then nutrient uptake from the necrotic cells or tissues, thus resulting in symptoms of tissue necrosis, decay, and wilting, and a few can cause tumors that are the result of hormone secretion. Initially, the surface of the affected tissue is often watery or oily, translucent, and under humid conditions, some diseased parts have yellowish-brown or creamy-white gelatinous, water-bead-like pus; the rotten type often has a foul odor. This is an important sign of bacterial disease.
Ace Therapeutics can provide multi-omics services for plant bacterial pathogens to clients worldwide, including but not limited to genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics. It helps you to study the growth and nutrition, genetics and variation, pathogenic characteristics, physical mechanisms of pathogen-host plant interactions, physiological and biochemical mechanisms, and molecular biological mechanisms of pathogenic bacteria from multiple dimensions and provides theoretical assistance for bacterial disease control strategies and control technology development.
1. Genomics
We provide sequencing and analysis services for the genomics of plant pathogenic bacteria. Based on our automated library building platform, automated quality control process, and high-performance computing platform, we build libraries of qualified samples provided by our partners and sequence them using the Illumina sequencing platform, or directly sequence qualified libraries provided by our partners, and produce high-quality sequencing data for bioinformatics analysis. This provides a strong foundation for understanding the biology, pathogenicity, evolutionary mechanisms, and plant-pathogen interactions of pathogenic bacteria. It provides a theoretical basis and a source of development for the search for new drug targets and for the development of novel and efficient agricultural, as well as environmentally safe and sustainable disease control strategies.
2. Transcriptomics
We provide services for sequencing and analysis of the transcriptome of plant pathogenic bacteria. We use advanced sequencing platforms for comprehensive and rapid analysis of mRNA sequence and abundance information, as well as analysis of gene structure and new transcripts generated. For species without reference genomes, we can perform splicing and assembly of transcriptome sequencing data, functional annotation, etc. We can help you to reveal the pathogenic bacteria invasion and host defense resistance, to elucidate the interrelationship between pathogens and hosts at the genome-wide level and at the genetic level of the infected hosts, and to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of pathogenic bacteria invasion and host resistance.
We can also provide dual RNA-seq, which focuses on solving the problem of interactions between pathogens and hosts. We can study the transcription and gene regulation of two or more species simultaneously, reveal the dynamics of interspecies interactions, and explore the mechanisms of interspecies interactions by constructing a single library.
Note: In addition, there are other services available for you to choose from, please consult us for details.
We can provide multi-omics services for a wide range of plant pathogens, including but not limited to Magnaporthe oryzae, Botrytis cinerea, Puccinia graminis f.sp. tritici, Fusarium graminearum, Fusarium oxysporum, Blumeria graminis, Mycosphaerella graminicola, Colletotrichum, Melampsora lini, Ustilago maydis. In agricultural production species, classified according to the different species of plants, plant pathogens include but are not limited to those listed below.
