Description
The Leishmania spp qPCR kit has been created specifically for the in vitro identification of Leishmania spp. genomes. It is engineered to offer the widest possible detection range while maintaining specificity for Leishmania spp. Therefore, this kit is tailored to accurately detect and differentiate this genus's presence in an in vitro setting. Through a thorough bioinformatic analysis using all reference data within the NCBI database, the primer and probe sequences exhibit significant homology (>95%) with a diverse array of Leishmania genomes from species such as Leishmania infantum, Leishmania donovani, Leishmania tropica, Leishmania killicki and Leishmania aethiopica, while not detecting other closely related genera.
