Description
There are seven assemblages within Giardia lamblia: A, B, C, D, E, F, and the less common G. Among these, only assemblages A and B have the capability to infect humans, while a variety of animals can be affected by assemblages A through G.
The Giardia lamblia (A-B) qPCR kit is specifically crafted for the in vitro identification of G. lamblia assemblages A&B genomes. The kit is designed to possess the broadest potential detection scope while maintaining specificity for G. lamblia (assemblages A&B). Hence, this kit has been developed for the precise (inclusivity) and exclusive (exclusivity) in vitro identification of this species. The primer and probe sequences exhibit significant homology (>95%) with a wide array of G. lamblia (assemblages A&B) genomes, as determined through comprehensive bioinformatic analysis utilizing all reference data within the NCBI database. Other closely related species are not detected.
