Cryptosporidium is a microscopic coccidian parasite that is widely found in many vertebrates, mainly in microscopic cryptosporidium. The life history of cryptosporidium has five developmental stages: trophozoite, schizonts, gametophyte, conidia, and oocyst, of which the oocyst is the infective stage.
Cryptosporidiosis, a zoonotic protozoan disease, has a predominantly diarrheal clinical presentation. Infected animals and humans are the main source of infection, and their feces contain infective oocysts, which can cause epidemics by contaminating water and food.
Ace Therapeutics specializes in parasitology and has established a parasite culture technology platform that provides culture services for a wide range of parasites. We provide in vitro culture services for cryptosporidium, aiming to facilitate its experimental diagnosis, parasite morphology, life history (ecology), pathogenesis, epidemiological patterns, immunogenetic characteristics, interrelationships with hosts, and development of vaccines.
Only cystic conidia and oocysts can be isolated from experimental animals or infected individuals during the life history of cryptosporidium and later cultured in vitro. We provide in vitro cultures of these 2 stages of cryptosporidium, which you can choose flexibly according to your needs.
Sample type: the tissues of experimental animals or feces of infected individuals
Culture medium: human colon cancer cells (Caco-2), bovine oviductal epithelial cells. Cystic conidia can proliferate, but less than in animal intestinal cultures, and can be used to study host cell-pathogen interactions and drug screening.
Service items: cystic conidia culture service, cysticercosis culture service, cystic conidia & oocysts culture service
Delivery content: cryptosporidium with culture medium
Test fee: please get it through online inquiry
